Nightclub/Restaurant Lighting and Concept Design

With the city increasing at a rapid pace, I gained inspiration from a birds eye view of the city and motorways. The repetition and grid-like patterns that are created from street lights and city lights. The feeling we get when we drive from the country to the city, a sense of excitement, unknown, channels of different lives all coming together under a grid-like pattern.

 

My goal was to create an energetic bustling atmosphere, with pockets of intimate mood lighting.

 

A unique feature includes a suspended ceiling made out of laser cut steel, housing hundreds of individually controlled LED lights. Seen only through the cuts in the steel. Parts throughout lighter and darker, different alley ways of grid-like patterns all seamlessly symmetrical.

 

With the ability to individually control each LED, this gives you the freedom of color changes, different lighting patterns, some on, some off , creating a feeling of traveling through these streets above you. One of the more exciting features includes when the music changes beat, the ceiling above the dance floor explodes into a warm amber glow, traveling down the channels in different patterns, to slowly fade as it reaches another part of the bar, with even a glint of the effect in the entrance way. Almost enticing you into the nightclub.
